They are quite effective in removing dirt and dead skin cells from the scalp or skin, and experts believe that they may not be harmful to many users.

There are some benefits to using sulfate-free shampoos. But is it justified to drop anything that contains sulphates?

What are Sulphates?

Sulphates are “surfactants,” which are a number of detergents, emulsifiers, and foaming substances that extract both oil and water. They are quite effective in removing dirt and dead skin cells from the scalp or skin, and experts believe that they may not be harmful to many users.

But for some, they can have some negative side effects.

They can remove moisture from the hair when overused and make the hair dry, coarse and brittle. They can irritate sensitive scalps.

ADVANTAGES OF SULPHATE-FREE SHAMPOO

1. It helps to keep the

natural hydration of the hair.

2. It is a blessing for colored hair. It does not remove color quickly and is gentle on the hair.

3. It is good for the normal scalp sensitive scalp.

4. If your eyes are sensitive to shampoos, you should use a sulfate-free shampoo.

5. It works wonders on low porosity hair. Which means if your hair is struggling

to retain moisture, shampoo will help moisturize hair and tame frizz.

6. It is best for chemically treated hair because a sulfate free shampoo does not remove moisture from the hair.
